About
Hi, I'm Rico.
Breathwork facilitator, ICF-accredited coach, yoga teacher, and recovering sales guy. Newport, RI.

Before
I looked great on paper.
In my twenties I was a massage therapist. Hands-on, people-first.
Then I went into sales. Fifteen years. Five times in President's Club.
From the outside, I was crushing it. From the inside, I was running on fumes and calling it drive.
I checked every deal before I checked myself.
Rest felt like something I had to justify. I never quite managed to.
Then
Then the wheels came off.
Eventually it stopped working. All of it.
I walked into a 12-step program and took an honest look at my patterns. Not fun. Very useful.
I left a ten-year marriage that hadn't fit for a long time.
I learned what people-pleasing was, mostly by noticing how much of my day it ran.
And I moved to Rhode Island to be closer to the ocean.
Slowly, my life started organizing around what felt true instead of what looked good.

Now
What I figured out.
Somewhere in there I noticed the thing nobody mentions at the sales kickoff.
Where your attention goes, and how you breathe, changes how the whole day feels.
Tight shoulders? Information. A racing head at 2 am? Also information.
You don't need a new you. You need to get back in the one you've got.
That's the work now. Breathwork, coaching, and a lot of long, slow exhales.

What I'm not
Not a guru. Not a therapist either. I don't fix you, and I don't promise outcomes.
I'm on your side, and I'll still tell you the true thing.
No gurus here, just a guy who's a few reps ahead.

Where are you holding it?
Right now. Jaw, shoulders, stomach. Pick one.
Breathe out slowly and see if it lets go a little.
